In 2022, attenuation circuit starts a new series of four-way split albums called THING. The aim is to provide a medium for exchange and presentation of a great variety of artists. As each artist spreads the copies to their network, listeners also get to know the other artists featured on the same disc. The title references the fact that the CDs are physical objects – things! – but also refers to the 'thing' or 'ding' in old Norse and other Germanic languages, which designates the place of a popular assembly or the assembly itself and thus alludes to the 'meeting-place' character of the albums on (or around) which the four artists and their audiences meet, if only virtually.

Federico Balducci (US). The music of Puerto Rican guitarist and composer Federico Balducci can be described as a mixture of classical and ambient music with unusually intricate harmonies.
Federico mostly works on film score for short films and documentaries.
fourthousandblackbirds (CAN) is the solo project of experimental artist Albérick, sourcing inspiration from nature reclaiming the planet from mankind, animal rights, abandoned buildings, empty cities in the morning...
Albérick is also a member of .cut, evoked response, Thee Virginal Brides, an experimental filmmaker and photographer, and half of the weekly radio show Symbiose on CISM 89.3FM in Montreal.

Luca Sciarratta
has been active on the experimental scene since 2005. His work is mainly focused on the translation of immaterial concepts and emotional states through which he creates textures using prepared guitar, tapes, objects and self-made instruments.
He is also deeply interested about the concept behind his composition, which are anticipated by a different kind of investigation and preparation before becoming sounds.
He released works for SetoladiMaiale, Mainspirit, Brusio and Attenuation Circuit.
He also founded rudiMENTALE, a label focused on experimental music, publishing various works by many artists until 2012.

My name is Paul Menconi, I am a native of San Francisco, CA, & I continue to live north of SF. I am now 62 years young. I haven’t played or recorded any music since 1992(?) so all my music is archival, recorded directly to cassette in real time – very demo-like, but well preserved given this is at least 30 years old.
